Rates Info: Digital restoration transfers bill at $1.95 per program minute with a $50.00 minimum charge. You’ll only pay for the actual audio contained on your tapes & records. With over 90 minutes of recordings, your rate drops to $1.85 per program minute. With large projects containing over 3 hours of material, the rate drops to $1.75 per program minutes. All restorations included noise reduction, equalization where needed to add clarity, and audio level boosting.
Tape baking and cassette repairs when required, are additional line items (see the Audio Restoration Services Shop for details). Please note cassette repairs are performed solely to enable safe transfer and restoration. Repaired cassette tapes remain fragile and are not intended for repeated playback.
Restoration balances are due upon completion and prior to delivery of final audio files. Client’s original materials are always returned.
Multitrack tape restorations (4-track, 8-track, etc.) are quoted individually due to the wide variation in tape condition and format. Please use the Multitrack Tape Restoration Deposit page for these projects.
Shipping Your Tapes:
After placing your deposit, please send your tapes via USPS Priority Mail or another trackable service. This ensures safe delivery.
Shipments without tracking are sent at the customer’s own risk.
Please note: We’re sorry but we don’t restore commercially released and copywritten recordings. Instead, we restore our clients’ unique family, personal, and professional audio recordings for their own use. We restore many professional recordings, but these are for artists and producers who own the copyright for their material.
